What can I explore on Charme?
Explore original fictional characters, read their opening scenes and browse stories for romance, fantasy, mystery and adventure. Anime, realistic and painted portraits help you find your preferred style. Charme is for adults aged 18 and over; all characters are fictional adults and explicit content is unavailable.
How do credits work?
When live conversations are available, messages are free up to a daily allowance. Beyond it, each message uses 1 credit; a picture uses 10. Credits are held when you start a picture and returned automatically if it fails. When payments open, packs can be bought once with crypto or Telegram Stars, and the same balance works on the web and in Telegram. Credits appear only after the payment provider confirms your payment.
Can I come back to a story?
Yes, if you choose Save. The conversation, its character and your memories are kept in this browser on this device until you delete them. Nothing is saved unless you ask. Pictures are deleted after a day unless you choose Keep.
What does “frontier intelligence” mean here?
Charme is built around a latest-generation reasoning model, with thinking active in every reply. You can adjust the depth in Settings. “Frontier” describes our model direction; it is not an independent ranking or a guarantee of accuracy.
What does “Memory Alive” mean?
Your active context window depends on the current service limit and your Settings. The memory panel shows that limit and the token usage reported for your latest response. Older messages may fall outside the active window; your lorebook stays in the prompt. Reloading or closing clears both.
Where are my conversations stored?
In this tab’s working memory during your session, and in this browser’s storage only for the stories you choose to save. Charme does not store conversations on its application server. The external AI provider processes your messages; its retention is not yet verified. This is not an end-to-end ZDR guarantee. You can also export a copy in Settings.
Is there a real person on the other side?
No. Conversations and pictures are AI-generated, and every character is fictional. They can get things wrong. Charme is for adults aged 18 and over.
Understand your credits.
When the service opens, verified accounts have a daily message allowance. Credits cover messages beyond that allowance and supported image creation. The app shows current availability and the cost before a paid action.

Chats live in this open session. Nothing is kept in your browser unless you choose Save, and Charme keeps no conversation content on its server.
The AI provider may keep anonymized prompts and replies. End-to-end Zero Data Retention is not guaranteed.
Reload or close the page to clear your session. Save a story or keep a picture only when you want it back later.
How your data is handled
- While you’re here
- Messages, characters and memories stay in this tab’s working memory. Long context works during the session.
- When you choose Save
- That conversation, its character and its memories are written to this browser’s local storage, on this device only. Delete one or all of them from the start screen or Settings.
- Pictures you create
- The image service receives a short description of the character and, for a scene, up to 400 characters of the reply you chose. Nothing else from your conversation. Charme stores the result for 24 hours so you can see it, then deletes it, unless you choose Keep. Charme asks the image service not to store inputs and to delete its copy within an hour; its own terms still apply.
- On the application server
- No conversation content is stored. Technical logs contain status, timing and token counts only. For verified accounts, product counts record start-screen views, which way in you chose, whether a first reply or picture completed or a picture failed, running out of credits, saves, payments, the days you were active and an estimated cost per day, never what you wrote. They’re deleted after 180 days or with your account.
- At the AI provider
- Your messages and context reach B.AI. Its policy says prompts and replies may be logged and stored in anonymized form. The retention period and model training terms for this service remain unverified.
Exports remain until you delete them. Earlier local archives can be exported or deleted in Settings. Hosting services may process connection metadata. Fonts are served by Charme.
